Welcome to the X Games Legends Portal ("the Portal"). By creating an account and using this platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal.

1. Who We Are

The X Games Legends Portal is a private community platform created for alumni athletes of X Games. It is independently operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of any broadcaster, media company, or former owner of the X Games brand. References to "X Games" refer to the sport and competition legacy that athletes participated in, not to any specific corporate entity.

2. Eligibility

To use the Portal, you must:

• Be a former X Games competitor, or be applying on that basis
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate and truthful information during signup
• Receive admin approval before accessing the full platform

We reserve the right to deny or revoke access to anyone who does not meet these criteria or who misrepresents their identity or athletic history.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Login links are sent to your email — do not share them.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date.
• You may not create accounts for other people or use someone else's identity.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or demean other athletes on the platform
• Post spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or misleading content
• Share another athlete's contact information outside the platform without their consent
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or harvest data from the directory or any other part of the platform
• Impersonate another athlete or person
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

5. Content You Post

When you post content on the Community Board or submit proposals, you:

• Retain ownership of your content
• Grant us a non-exclusive license to display it to other approved members of the platform
• Confirm that you have the right to post it and that it does not infringe on anyone else's rights
• Understand that administrators may remove content that violates these Terms

6. Proposals

Athletes may submit proposals and ideas through the Portal (experience days, events, mentoring programs, and similar concepts). By submitting a proposal, you grant X Games Legends a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to consider and implement the ideas contained therein. Submission of a proposal does not create any obligation on our part to act on it, nor any entitlement to compensation or credit.

7. Brand Partnerships and Opportunities

The Portal may connect athletes with brand partnership opportunities, discount programs, and events. These relationships are between you and the relevant brand or organizer directly. We do not guarantee any opportunity, outcome, or compensation. We are not a party to any agreement you enter into with a third-party brand or partner.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Portal is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. By using the Portal, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Portal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, error-free, or that any particular feature will remain available. We are not responsible for the accuracy of athlete-submitted profile information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Portal, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, or damages resulting from interactions with other athletes or third-party partners.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Portal after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will notify active members by email.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Portal at any time and request deletion of your account via your profile page. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of jurisdiction.
